If a pregnant woman has strong grounds for believing that fasting may harm her pregnancy, fasting is not obligatory for her.
If she fasts even after becoming convinced that fasting may harm her or her unborn child, and it causes the death of her baby, her fast is not accepted and she must perform qada’.
